Haze Condition

I was reading and watching news online on CNA.

We will expect more haze as the wind continues blowing in the southeastern direction. Most of the haze we have over here comes from Kalimantan (The Indonesian part of the island of Borneo) and it is the place with the most hot spots compared to Southern Sumatra, Riau and Jambi.

Some screenshot pictures...

Singapore is shrouded in haze!

What's PM 10?

To state in scientific terms, I learnt that its "particulate matter that is 10 microns & below"
To state simply, it means tiny particles of soot, dust, smoke, fumes and aerosols!

Quick Fact!

Up to 2.6 billion tons of carbon were released during the 1997 Indonesian Wildfires.

How much will it be this year?
